What are transfer partners?
Bank points like Amex Membership Rewards aren't airline miles — they move into airline programmes at a set rate (usually 1:1). The trick is knowing which transfer unlocks the best seat. Slipstream does that comparison for you.
Should I transfer now or wait?
Transfers are almost always irreversible, so the golden rule is: only move points once you've confirmed an award seat. The exception is a transfer bonus — when one is live, it can be worth topping up if you're ready to book.
What makes a redemption 'good value'?
We score every option in pence per point — the cash value of the seat (minus taxes) divided by the points spent. Green is excellent, amber reasonable, red poor. Premium-cabin long-haul usually gives the most value per point.
